I love the variety in this one, Jeff. The intersection of 5D and 19A tripped me up twice: now I know how to correctly spell the latter! As always, so many fun and clever clues, including what I imagine were some intentional misdirects. Favorites = 8A, 38A, 41A, 62A, 1D, 4D, 7D, and 43D. 7D made me smile; along with your clue, I can recall “Basketweaving” being cited as a 7D when I was in college.

Thanks! My original clue for 7D was underwater basket weaving, which was how I remember it. It would’ve paired nicely with 8D, but then it struck me that underwater basket weaving doesn’t sound particularly easy.
