The “theme” of this one is a stupid joke (19A/52A) that popped into my head one morning. Other than that, I think the factoid in the clue for 6D is amusing (my amusement threshold is exceptionally low), and I’m unreasonably happy with the cryptic clue for 33A.

I laughed out loud at 19A/52A! 6D is such a great entry and I, too, love that factoid. Some great clues = 1A, 40A, 8D, and 50D. I didn’t understand the clue for 31D. And why ‘used to mean’ for 54D? And as far as I’m concerned, it’s not at all unreasonable to be happy with the clue for 33A. I’ve probably said this before, but I’m in awe of folks who create cryptic crosswords. Maybe someday…

Thank you, Jeanne!31D=Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For 54D, CBS dropped “Columbia Broadcasting System” a few years ago, so CBS is just CBS,like IBM is now just IBM
